A huge thank you to Katie Daynes who met with pupils from Wharfedale Montessori last week. Katie has been writing non-fiction children’s books for almost half her life and has developed some of Usborne’s bestselling series including ‘See Inside’, ‘Lift-the-Flap Questions and Answers’ and Usborne ‘Beginners’. During her visit, Katie met with pupils in Children’s House who were enthralled and eager to contribute ideas for her new book. Katie’s discussion with pupils in the Cabin inspired many of the children to undertake a variety of activities associated with editing and making books. Meeting with Katie afforded the children an enriching experience and opportunity to learn about the world of publishing.
