Each term we visit the residents at Gills Top Care Home in Grassington.  On this visit we made poppy biscuits for remembrance day, did some painting and played giant garden games.   https://www.anchor.org.uk/our-properties/gills-top-skipton

The children had a wonderful visit from our friends at Prickly Pigs Hedgehog Rescue.  They got to meet Rhubarb the Hedgehog.https://www.pricklypigs.co.uk/

Our annual pumpkin trail in the woods organised by the  Friends of Wharfedale Montessori was a great hit again this year. 

We had an interesting morning learning all about composting, recycling and reducing waste with The Rotters.  We are watching decomposition in action in the classroom with pumpkin Jack, a lovely story about the life cycle of the pumpkin.  https://www.northyorks.gov.uk/north-yorkshire-rotters

A whole day was spent exploring at Nell Bank and engaging in all the different ‘Owl Babies’ activities.  The children brought their learning back to school extending it in various popular activities.
