A smashing time was had by pupils from Cabin when they attended the Lexus Tennis Trophy in Ilkley last week. The pupils started their visit with an intensive introductory tennis lesson run by Ilkley Tennis Club. Pupils had a lot of fun in the sunshine as they practised their drills and engaged in various games to improve their eye-hand co-ordination and movement round the court.
After their lesson, the pupils were able to watch a women’s doubles match and enjoy a packed lunch in the sunshine before returning back to school, just under 8 miles down the road.
This is the third year running that Wharfedale Montessori has attended the Lexus Trophy in Ilkley which has now become a key fixture in our Summer Term Activities for Cabin pupils.
