A super fun bike day with Ready Steady Pedal was held at Wharfedale Montessori School last week. Our youngest pupils aged from 3 to 6 years had a fab session with pedallers improving their skills and some balance bikers officially becoming pedallers – such a moment of pride for these young children! In our primary classroom, our 6 to 8 year olds worked on their skills as they learned to ride one handed, stand up from the seat and tackle various routes round markers. Our 9 to 11 year olds went to Embsay and learned about cycling safely on the road. This involved practising how to set off safely, approach junctions, pull in and complete turns to the left and right.
