Children’s House Spring Celebration Afternoon

Our parents enjoyed visiting Children’s House, listening to the children sing and then sharing their children’s work.  It was a wonderful opportunity for new and established parents to network and chat to their children’s teachers.

Visit to Stump Cross Caverns

Our Children’s House children visited Stump Cross Caverns to extend their learning on Rocks, Fossils and Minerals. They all had a great time and were fascinated when they went down into the caves.

The primary children and Poppy attended their Swimming Gala at Ilkley Pool on Tuesday 5th July. They demonstrated the skills they have learned over the past year, including for the older ones, swimming 100 metres with a variety of strokes.

The pre-primary children enjoyed a day out at Bolton Abbey & Embsay Steam Railway.  They experienced a ride on a steam train and went up to Embsay Play Park where they had a picnic and extended play and then walked back to the station.

Pre-school Interactive Parent Afternoon

ART EXPLORERS “THE BIG OUTDOORS”

The children had great fun on our two special outdoor activity stay and play Art Explorer sessions held on 8 July.  The activities included “scooter painting” and making a bottle-top snail.

Trip to Grassington Festival

All the children from both school and nursery enjoyed a trip to the Grassington Festival on 27 June.  The younger children visited The Tig, a dance and movement luminarium, and the older ones went to the Wordlab at the Town Hall.
